SONIC TEXTILES

Textiles as a medium for music.  Compact, flexible, and portable. Elegant, expressive, and beautiful.  The goal was to create a reproducible textile device that would add to the visual nature of my performances, while being easily transportable for travel.

This second prototype was created as the focus of my artist residency at Sou’ Wester Arts Week, where I was able to complete a working demo unit and showcase it for others to try.

The first iteration of this concept was created during a Hackertrain event, where artists and hackers across the west coast joined onto the same train, with the destination of SuperCon, located at the Hackaday Headquarters in Pasadena, CA.
